My name is Arsema Samuel, and I’m the vet behind Virtualvetconsult. I provide direct online veterinary consultations so pet owners can get fast, clear answers without waiting for days for an appointment or sitting in stressful clinic rooms.
Every consultation is handled by me personally, meaning no rotating vets, no handoffs, no confusion.

Arsema Samuel, DVM
I received my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and then stayed on to pursue Veterinary medicine and a Masters in Public Health.
Originally from the west coast, I have worked all across the US and with over a decade of experience working with small animals, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every consultation.
I place an emphasis on creating an open and honest partnership with all my clients and provide patient care with empathy, compassion, and expertise.

Why I started this service
Over the years, I saw the same problem repeated everywhere:
Pet owners were waiting too long to get help.
Sometimes it was:
- A worried night with no access to a vet
- A minor issue that turned into an expensive emergency visit
- Or uncertainty about whether something was serious or not
Most of these situations didn’t need a clinic visit right away- they needed fast, proffesional guidance.
So I built a service that solves that.
How I work with you
When you book a consultation, you’re speaking directly with me.
I review your pet’s signs and symptoms, ask the right questions, and help you understand:
- What is likely going on
- Whether it is urgent or not
- What you should do next
- Whether in-person care is needed
If your pet requires a physical exam or emergency exam, I will tell you clearly and immediately.
My approach to care
My goal is simple:
Help you make the right decision for your pet as quickly as possible.
Not every situation needs a clinic visit, but every situation deserves clarity.
I focus on:

I provide veterinary telehealth consultations across California in accordance with current veterinary telemedicine regulations, including video-based consultations under California Assembly Bill 1399.
